In his homily, the Pope stated that this year's theme of "Educating the Youth of the field of Justice and Peace" is the duty of all parties, all generations.
"Educating young people in truth, the basic values is looking forward with hope," said Pope.
"Young people are open to everything, but it requires a social commitment to justice and peace," continued the leader of 1.3 billion Catholics. Young people, he said, should take advantage of everything that is available as communications technology to campaign for peace coexistence, dialogue, mutual respect and mutual understanding.
"Young people are open on all of them (justice and peace), but the social reality in which they grow can be brought to think and act otherwise, even becoming intolerant and violent," said Pope.
